European Spectrometry EvoLution Range of Laboratory Instruments

Good things come in small packages !

Although EvoLution offers a very small footprint, there is absolutely no compromise on performance. Every EvoLution system comes with powerful analytical software which offers three different qualitative anlysis modes and a fully quantitative package for applications where absolute accuracy is essential.

Powerful user scripting options allow repetitive tasks to be fully automated, simple integration with other instruments or pilot plant PLC's and powerful mathematic processing options.

EvoLution is the instrument of choice for many leading companies and educators world-wide, book a demonstration and you will see why EvoLution is the class leader.

Survey Mode EvoLution comes with powerfull analytical software which enables the system to perform "Survey Mode" analyses which are essential in the detection of "unknowns".In a typical "unknown" scenario, a new compound or new catalyst may be under test and the analyst wants to ensure that all reaction compouds are monitored with nothing missed out. Survey mode analysis allows all detectable mass peaks to be scanned and then replayed as trends to identify transient events. Analysis under the trend reveals full spectra which may be library matched to identify source compounds.

Trend Mode Trend mode analysis takes advantage of the incredible speed of MS when determining time-critical reaction data. In this mode, a number of individual analytes are selected (either based upon known emission content or the result of a Survey Mode analysis) and trended against real time. Very high acquisition speeds mean that a number of analytes may be acquired in a very short interval (less than 500ms) giving very accurate time-critical information. Since trend mode may be operated in qualitative and fully quantitative modes, what you see on the screen is quite litteraly what you get.

Lab and Pilot Plant Laboratory and pilot plant applications are perfectly suited to EvoLution series instruments. The small footprint size means that very little lab space is sacrificed fior the instrument and it can easily be accomodated within enclosed systems such as pilot scale PET or automotive catalyst test rigs. The simplicity with which EvoLution may be programmed to perform automated tasks or inteface with complex external data and control sources ensures that it blends seemlesly with pilot-scale plants where some degree of automation is enevitably required. Easy programming, multiple inlet capability and flexible analogue / digital IO makes EvoLution the obvious choice.

Rugged Remote Operation Interfacing with pilot plants and developing systems often requires flexibility in software design and results in continuous evolution of analytical requirements. Fortunately, every EvoLution system has an optional set of advanced remote operation tools based on the industry standard Symantec PC Anywhere architecture. These tools allow full remote access to data and instrument control functions. You can transfer files manually or at pre-programmed times, operate theMS from a remote location and perform full diagnostic tests from any telephone line worldwide. PC anywhere is an established, reliable and secure system for total remote access.

Powerful Automation Scripting EvoLution software comes complete with powerful task automation software. This system enables users to quickly program the system to perform repeat tasks such as calibration, leak testing and data-file handling. If you are purchasing EvoLution with an application in mind, ESS will write automation process scripts for you, often within the price of the system. Any aspect of system operation may be automated and simple buttons and prompts allow a non-skilled user operating environment even in complex applications. Scripting also allows for acquisition of external signals and control of external accessories along with creation and trending / storage of mathematical data based upon calculations (mg/m3/hr for example).
